‘Pune Vedpathshala’ is one of the ancient institute in Pune with 134 years of ‘Vedadhyapana’s’ tradition. In ‘Pune Vedpathshala’ mainly teaching is through traditional ‘Gurukul’ system wherein teaching is predominantly focused on ‘Rigved’ – Shakal branch, ‘Krishna Yajurved’ – Taittiriya branch. In addition to this students learn ‘Yadnik’ in detail which is essential for ‘Karmanushthana’. Along with ‘Vedadhyapan’ school conducts classes related to Yoga, Sanskrit, Computer and School education to the extent possible so that students can also progress in these fields. For all students in this institute whole Education, Lodging and Food are provided free of cost. Presently in this institute we have a total of 40 students. ‘Ghanapathi’ and other ‘Vedic’ teachers have been appointed by the institute for teaching. Currently five teachers have been appointed for Rigved, Krishna Yajurved and Yadnik.

The institute owns its own new Vastu with the help of financial and other contributions given by the ‘Ved-Premi’ people. Pune Vedpathshala comprises of Yadnyashala, Goshala, Hall, Study rooms, Dining room, Residence for students, Office, Library and places for visitors etc. The temple of ‘Shri-Hanuman’ which is a symbol of wisdom and strength is in the same campus.

‘Pune Vedpathshala’ is one of the longest lived Vedic institutions and in adverse condition also it has continued its work with devotion and patience.
